Tour Start Point – London Victoria Coach Station

Your direct London to Stonehenge and Bath Tour starts with pick up from Victoria Coach Station located in central London. You must arrive at coach station 15 before the tour starts, giving you enough time to check in with your guide. Then you will need to find your bus, and then prepare to board ready for a direct and quick trip to the English Heritage site of Stonehenge and its famous stone circle. The tour departs at 8:15am and boarding starts from 8:00am.

First stop – The stunning city of Bath

As part of this most popular of tours, you will visit the City of Bath famed for its Roman built Baths – but did you know it was also at the epicentre of the wool industry in the middle ages? You will be taken on a panoramic tour of Bath, you will see some of the finest architecture in the UK and across Europe. You will visit the magnificent Bath Abbey, the Circus, the Royal Crescent, Assembly Rooms and of course the Pulteney Bridge. You will be shown the Roman Baths which are built around the thermal springs, these springs have been providing water for over two thousand years. Going back to Roman times, a great Temple was erected next to this sacred spring, it was believed that the water from it had healing properties and therefore it attracted visitors from all across the Roman Empire.

Second stop – The ancient wonder that is Stonehenge

One of the leading UK Attractions, Stonehenge, is shrouded in mystery, it is an amazing feat of engineering and is defined as one of the most important pre-historic site in England. Stonehenge is not only highly significant in terms of archaeology, it is also believed to have a astronomical role and is also a place of significant spiritual importance. It will always be clouded in mystery and early legends link Stonehenge with Merlin and King Arthur, but more recently in the last hundred years the midsummer sunrise has brought with it pagan groups and followers of the Ancient Order of Druids. You will be provided with an audio guide that will give you a rich history of this mysterious site.

Tour End Point – London Victoria Coach Station

Your tour will finish outside London Victoria Coach Station at approximately 7:30 pm; this gives you easy access to National Rail and Underground trains, enabling you to get to where you need to be in the evening.

A selection of Stonehenge and Bath Tour Reviews by visitors

No rush

I opted for this trip with my family as we read some of the reviews about not having much time in places so we opted for this. It was a really great day and we never felt rushed. Loved Bath… could move there in an instance! And Stonehenge I thought was amazing, although my kids could understand why we had gone to visit a pile of rocks in a field! Driver and guide were super and helpful especially with my wife not feeling great on the coach on the way home.

Loved the Baths

What a great way to spend a day seeing these sights. We were debating whether to also add in Windsor Castle, but we are so glad we didn’t.
Our driver-guide was lovely, he gave some wonderful stories while we travelled to Bath and Stonehenge. We opted to get tickets into the Roman Baths and were so glad we did as it was amazing to see them and feel the warm water still showing on the surface today! I really felt like I was in Roman times! Thanks.

Loved It

Booking online was simple and we arrived at the meeting point with plenty of time to spare. My advice is get there early, some people missed the day before because they arrived ten minutes after departure time because of tube issues. We got up close to the ancient Stones which was super and we loved wandering the streets of Bath. Guides knew loads of interesting facts – would definitely recommend to all. We cant wait to see more next time!

Important Info: Why should I pre-book my tickets or tours?

You may be unable to reserve tickets for Stonehenge on the day! Therefore, if you want to book a place, you need to pre-book tickets the day before.

Very few tickets are made available on the day at the destination, so you wouldn’t want to travel all the way to Stonehenge and find that all the tickets have gone – which they often do.

Tickets booked in advance mean a discount price often, especially if booked as part of a larger group.

All tickets give you an allotted time to go in and see the Stones; therefore, if you do turn up on the day, you could get a ticket for Stonehenge – but it could be for a much later time slot.

Finally, all our tours are fully refundable, so as long as you cancel with at least 24 hours’ notice before your tour starts! So you can book your tour with peace of mind if your plans change and with no charges.
